  • We have SOLD OUT OF RED NOSES!!  We are hoping to get some more soon and we will let you know asap. 
  • Apologies but the Children's University Graduation has been postponed for Friday 27th February. 
  • Many thanks to everyone who came and helped out or supported the PTA Valentines Disco and the Cake Sale last half term, you helped raise over £548 pounds towards school funds, well done!
  • Year 6 Girls wanted for an U13s Girls Football Team see the flyer in Children Activities in Community Events tab.
  • Adult Pilates every Thursday 5.10 pm for approx. an hour, £5 a session, in the hall, mats provided.  Come for a taster session after the half term, all levels welcome.  Please contact the office for more details. 
  • Listen to the opening number of the Year 3/4 production 'Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies' on our You Tube or Facebook page, you're in for a treat!
  • Egyptian Day in Year 3 saw a whole host of little Pharaohs and Mummies running round school!
  • Red Nose Day ‘Make Your Face Funny for Money’ - Friday 13th March.  This will be a non uniform day for a £2 donation which will be split between the school and Comic Relief.  So ‘make your faces funny for money’ and we will put the best faces on the website!
  • Have a look in Celebrations to see the Year 6 Poplar Class Library Book competition video entry with a brilliant rap by Emily Stokes, fingers crossed they win!
  • Friday 16th January, we had a lovely whole school assembly where Tony Butcher and Kevin Sibthorpe from the Rovers and Colts Football Clubs presented us with a cheque for £500 to go towards our Playground Restoration Fund!  We thank them wholeheartedly for their kind donation.
  • Just a reminder that the lost property will be recycled in the next couple of weeks if it is not claimed before then.  With coats and jumpers in amongst the items it is hard to believe these have not been missed - please come and search for lost property or get your child to have a rummage before we recycle these things. Some pictures are on our Facebook page.
  • We have a new PTA Chair, we'd like to welcome Michaela Collie and look forward to working with her and the rest of the Association raising much needed funds for the school.  AGM update see 'For Parents - PTA' tab.
  • Following a recent change in advice from the Local Authority, would parents please note that it is no longer permissible for us to tape children's earrings for a PE session.  With immediate effect earrings should be removed prior to the activity taking place.  PE is a vital part of our whole school curriculum, which children cannot miss, unless injured. Children need to be able to take their earrings out and put them back themselves. 
  • Swimming in the Summer Term - details are available in the 'News', 'Swimming' tab of how this will run next year.
  • Monday 20th October.  It's official!  Our WWI Commemorative Community Mosaic has now been 'opened'!  With a whole host of local dignitaries and people who have helped us research and create this impressive piece of art, our Head Girl Bethan and Head Boy George offically 'opened' the mosaic to the community.  Please see how we pieced together the project with the help of Heritage Lottery funding in the Community Events, 'WWI' tab.
  • We now have a 'Closed' Group Facebook page for parents/carers and relatives to view, please see the 'Follow Us' tab to access the page.
  • Information on our After School Club: it costs £3 per hour or £5 for two, starting at the end of the school day until 5.10pm.   Pick up times are 4.10 pm and 5.10 pm, please be aware that if you are late picking up your child you may be charged. There is a copy of the booking form and more details in the Clubs tab under Our School.   Please remember that you must pay for this two weeks in advance or your child will not be guaranteed a place, please see the school office.
  • 2013/2014 SATs result figures are now available for you to look at via the School Documents SATs tab, see how we compare against National figures.
