All children will be able to express themselves creatively and appreciate art in all forms
As artists, the children at Great Wakering Primary Academy have the opportunity to experiment, invent, and create their own works of art using a range of different mediums. Art and design lessons are based around an artist or artistic period in history so our children are knowledgeable about the topic and can consider how art has influenced history and culture. Art skills are explicitly taught and built upon throughout the school. Artwork is celebrated throughout the school and displayed in exhibitions to allow children to appreciate others' work.
