Home/School Partnership Agreement
The school will:
Support your child’s wellbeing and safety by providing a safe, supportive and caring environment
Recognise and manage the needs of individual children, help and encourage them to reach their full potential.
Offer equal opportunities in all aspects of school life and encourage pupils to appreciate diversity and value difference
Develop positive values and a caring attitude towards the school community and the environment
Provide a range of learning opportunities through a broad curriculum of the highest quality which motivates pupils and fosters a love of learning and sense of achievement
Encourage high standards of behaviour and develop pupils’ confidence, independence and resilience.
Offer your child opportunities to develop a sense of responsibility, form social relationships and build their self-esteem
Value positive relationships between the school and parents/carers whilst providing regular information about pupils’ behaviour, academic progress and attainment
Listen to and respond to concerns that parents/carers may have in a timely manner
Give children regular opportunities to give their views about our school and listen and respond to any worries they may have about school
Celebrate children’s achievements
Encourage good attendance and punctuality and recognise this with rewards and certificates.
Keep parents informed about school activities through newsletters, notices, the website and the school’s social media.
Be welcoming and offer opportunities for parents/carers to become involved in school life and to attend events that celebrate children’s achievements
The parents/carers will:
Treat all members of the school community with respect and politeness.
Bring any worries or concerns to the relevant staff in school and not make derogatory comments about the school, its staff and children on social media
Ensure that my child follows our uniform code, including removing earrings for PE lessons, and brings their PE kit to school when necessary,
Make sure my child attends school regularly and on time with everything they need for the day and provide an explanation when my child is absent.
Book family holidays during the 14 weeks of school holiday time each year and not request absence in term time
Engage in parent meetings and work together with the school in order to achieve the best outcomes for my child
Support the school to make sure my child maintains a consistently high standard of behaviour
Read communications sent home by the school and respond where necessary in a timely manner
Ensure that my child’s homework is completed and returned on time.
The child will:
Listen to instructions from adults and follow the school rules.
Come to school regularly, arrive on time and be ready to learn.
Behave well, be gentle, helpful, polite and respectful to other children and adults.
Wear the correct school uniform and remember my PE kit.
Take responsibility for myself and my actions
Work hard and try my best
Not be afraid to ask for help and remember that making mistakes can help you to learn.
Do my homework and bring it back to school on time
Look after the school equipment and be respectful of the school environment
